What this calculator does
CPC shows how much each click costs. This calculator also shows CPM, click-through rate, cost per conversion, conversion rate and estimated ROAS so paid traffic can be judged against outcomes.
Formula used
CPC equals campaign cost divided by clicks. CPM equals campaign cost divided by impressions, multiplied by 1,000. Cost per conversion equals campaign cost divided by conversions. Conversion rate equals conversions divided by clicks, multiplied by 100.
How to read the result
Cheap clicks are not always valuable. Compare CPC with CTR, conversion rate, cost per conversion, order value, margin and customer quality.
Assumptions
- Uses total campaign cost.
- Does not include agency fees unless included in cost.
- Conversions must use the same attribution window when comparing campaigns.
- Estimated ROAS uses the average conversion value you enter and does not include margin or refunds.

Frequently asked questions
How do you calculate CPC?
Divide campaign cost by clicks. For example, GBP 500 spent on 1,000 clicks gives a GBP 0.50 cost per click.
How do you calculate cost per conversion?
Divide campaign cost by conversions. If there are no conversions yet, the cost per conversion is not available until at least one conversion is recorded.
What if conversions are zero?
The campaign has no measurable cost per conversion yet, so review tracking, traffic quality and landing page performance.
